BOTIX Delivers Keynote Address at the 2025 China Maritime Day Forum

On July 11, the Port and Shipping Enterprise Development Forum, part of the main events of the 2025 China Maritime Day, was held in Boao, Hainan Province. Representatives from government departments, port and shipping companies, research institutions, and industry associations gathered to exchange insights under the theme “Low-Carbon Ports and Shipping, Advancing toward a Greener Future.”

BOTIX was invited to deliver a keynote address titled “Technological Innovation Reshaping the Inland Shipping Ecosystem.”

The year 2025 marked the 20th anniversary of the establishment of China Maritime Day and the 620th anniversary of Zheng He’s first voyage. Against the backdrop of the global shipping industry’s green transition and accelerating digital and intelligent transformation, identifying pathways toward high-quality development for port and shipping companies became a major focus of discussion at the forum.

During the keynote session, Yu Yang, Senior Vice President of BOTIX, provided an in-depth analysis of the current state of inland shipping. He identified green and intelligent transformation as two of the industry’s most pressing priorities.

Yu explained that BOTIX has made significant progress in electric propulsion systems for new energy vessels and maritime autonomy through sustained technology development. These advances align closely with two major priorities highlighted at this year’s China Maritime Day Forum: green development and the cultivation of new quality productive forces.

BOTIX develops its electric propulsion systems with scalable commercial deployment in mind. The technology is designed to reduce vessel energy consumption and pollutant emissions, providing a practical pathway toward greener inland shipping.

The company’s independently developed autonomous navigation system improves navigational safety and control accuracy while optimizing the operational efficiency of inland shipping, bringing new momentum to the transformation of this traditional industry.
