Dec 04.2025

On December 3, during Marintec China 2025, BOTIX and the China Classification Society (CCS) Wuhan Rules & Research Institute entered into a strategic partnership.

Liu Dong, Secretary of the Party Committee of the CCS Wuhan Rules & Research Institute, and Yu Yang, Senior Vice President of BOTIX, signed the strategic cooperation framework agreement on behalf of their respective organizations. Jiang Yafeng, Vice President and member of the Party Committee of CCS, and Han Bin, Founder and CEO of BOTIX, attended and witnessed the signing ceremony.

The partnership represents the industry’s first deep integration of forward-looking rules research with practical industrial innovation in the field of green and intelligent vessels.

Under the agreement, the two parties will pursue collaborative innovation in new energy applications and key intelligent vessel technologies. They will work to accelerate the transition of new energy propulsion and maritime autonomy from laboratory research to scalable deployment, while establishing an integrated industry framework extending from technology development and standards leadership to industrial implementation.

As a national-level technical authority on waterborne safety and green technologies, the CCS Wuhan Rules & Research Institute has long contributed to the development of maritime rules and standards, while BOTIX focuses on the research, development, and commercialization of maritime autonomy.

As the global shipping industry moves toward safer, greener, and more intelligent operations, this strategic partnership marks an important milestone and establishes a new model of collaboration between research and industry.

Looking ahead, the two parties will combine their respective strengths in policy research, technical expertise, and industrial implementation. Their cooperation will focus on new energy applications, intelligent system integration, and demonstration projects, creating a collaborative ecosystem spanning technology development, standards formulation, and industrial deployment.

Through this partnership, BOTIX and the CCS Wuhan Rules & Research Institute aim to contribute practical expertise and solutions to the sustainable development of inland shipping worldwide.
