Marintec China 2025 | BOTIX Maritime Autonomy Technologies Draw Strong Industry Interest

Sep 08.2026

Marintec China 2025 was held in Shanghai from December 2 to 5 under the theme “Innovation and Collaboration for Maritime Sustainability.”

At this major gathering of the global maritime community, BOTIX showcased its core products and latest technologies at Booth D4A-08 in Hall W2. Its advances in maritime autonomy and full-scale vessel applications attracted steady visitor traffic and considerable industry interest throughout the exhibition.

Core Products Showcase Maritime Autonomy

BOTIX presented three core offerings: its autonomous navigation system for inland vessels, navigation assistance system for seagoing vessels, and all-weather low-visibility vessel perception solution.

Full-scale vessel case studies and interactive demonstrations gave visitors a closer look at the company’s technologies and generated extensive discussions at the booth.

The Autonomous Navigation System for Inland Vessels drew particular interest for its end-to-end autonomous navigation capabilities and testing on operational waterways.

The Navigation Assistance System for Seagoing Vessels focuses on improving navigational safety and operational efficiency. Through multi-sensor fusion, it provides all-weather environmental perception, accurate target identification, and risk alerts, supporting safer navigation under complex operating and sea conditions.

BOTIX also presented its All-Weather Low-Visibility Vessel Perception Solution, featuring the independently developed Shipborne 4D Imaging Small-Target Radar. The system supports high-resolution point-cloud imaging, moving and stationary target discrimination, and automatic multi-target plotting. It maintains stable detection performance in high sea states and challenging weather conditions, including rain, snow, and fog, further strengthening BOTIX’s capabilities in maritime safety perception.

The BOTIX booth welcomed shipowners, research institutions, universities, and potential partners, who expressed strong interest in the maturity and application potential of the company’s maritime autonomy technologies.

Strategic Partnership Establishes a New Research-to-Industry Collaboration Model

During the exhibition, BOTIX entered into a strategic partnership with the CCS Wuhan Rules & Research Institute. The two parties will pursue collaborative innovation in new energy applications and key intelligent vessel technologies, accelerating the transition of new energy propulsion and maritime autonomy from laboratory research to scalable deployment.

The partnership brings together forward-looking rules research and practical industrial innovation in green and intelligent vessels. By connecting technology development, standards formulation, and industrial deployment, it establishes a new model of collaboration between research and industry.

Technical Presentations Highlight Practical Innovation in Maritime Autonomy

At the Seminar on Ship Digital and Intelligent Technology hosted by China Classification Society (CCS), as well as a presentation session in the Pudong Shipping Zone, Dr. Liu Wen, Vice President of BOTIX, delivered a presentation titled “Innovation and Practical Applications of Maritime Autonomy Technologies.”

Dr. Liu introduced the system architecture and technology roadmap underpinning BOTIX’s connected vessel-shore-cloud capabilities. He also presented the company’s latest developments and practical applications in autonomous navigation for inland vessels and navigation assistance for seagoing vessels.

Using full-scale vessel test data, representative operating scenarios, and deployment experience, the presentation outlined BOTIX’s development pathway from model validation to scalable implementation.

Looking ahead, BOTIX will continue to advance core maritime autonomy technologies and work with industry partners to support their standardized and systematic development. Building on the exchanges at Marintec China 2025, the company will continue to deliver safer, more efficient, and more intelligent solutions, supporting the shipping industry’s transition into its next stage of development.
