BOTIX Showcases Situational Awareness Portfolio at SMM 2026, Drawing International Interest

The 32nd SMM maritime trade fair opened in Hamburg, Germany, on September 1. Making its European debut, BOTIX presented its situational awareness product portfolio, attracting considerable attention from international shipowners, shipyards, system integrators and maritime professionals.

SMM is the world’s leading maritime trade fair and a major platform for the global maritime industry. Held under the guiding theme “Driving the Maritime Transition,” SMM 2026 brought together companies, industry organizations and professionals from across the maritime value chain to showcase cutting-edge technologies, innovative products and integrated solutions.

BOTIX highlighted two of its latest situational awareness products: the 4D Imaging Small Target Radar and NaviSight N3.

During the exhibition, BOTIX Board Director Wenhao Zhang delivered a presentation introducing the company’s technological innovations, product portfolio and real-world applications. He explained how more precise environmental perception and intelligent decision support can improve navigational safety and operational efficiency, receiving positive feedback from attendees.

BOTIX also presented its latest technical achievements at the booth, attracting strong interest from international visitors.

Developed entirely in-house, the BOTIX 4D Imaging Small Target Radar brings millimeter-wave radar technology into maritime applications. Through a series of purpose-built technological innovations, it complements conventional navigational radar in areas such as resolution, close-range small-target detection and tracking stability.

The radar provides more precise and reliable environmental perception for operations requiring close-range small-target detection and detailed vessel manoeuvring, including berthing and unberthing, ferry operations and offshore operations.

NaviSight is BOTIX’s AI-powered vessel situational awareness system. By combining multisource sensor fusion with AI, the system continuously detects and tracks a wide range of surface targets, including buoys, floating objects, small craft and vessels without active AIS signals.

Through an integrated workflow covering perception, analysis, visualization and cloud synchronization, NaviSight connects onboard navigation with shore-side fleet management to create a closed-loop safety process.

BOTIX’s products and technical presentation at SMM 2026 generated strong interest among international customers. The BOTIX team held in-depth discussions with representatives from multiple companies on product performance, vessel integration, operating scenarios and potential cooperation models.

These discussions reflected growing international demand for intelligent vessel technologies and advanced situational awareness. They also established a strong foundation for BOTIX to expand its international presence and deepen global partnerships.
